Frequently Asked Questions and Policies
How do I enter a tournament?
You must first register your team online. Your registration will run from August 1st
through July 31st. You must enter your roster online. Then you must send all
tournament entry fees to the director running the event, by the deadline OR enter
on line at www.usssa.com. Keep in mind that many events will close early and it is
best to enter as early as possible. Always send an email to the tournament director
letting them know that you have mailed entry, roster and are checking the status of
the tournament.
When will Brackets be posted?
Brackets are usually posted on the Sunday night before the tournament.
What is the refund policy?
Once brackets are posted, there are no refunds given, unless cancellation of the
tournament. If there is a waiting list available, once the replacement team has paid,
a refund will be made.
Rain Outs?
Credit towards a future event will be given, if the tournament is started but not
completed according to to schedule below.
A full refund will be given or payment moved to a future event, if the tournament is
completely cancelled and can not be rescheduled.
0 games played: Full refund
1 or two games played: pro-rated refund based on number of game guarantee. For
example, for a $450 tournament with a 3 game guarantee where only one game is
played the team would be entitled to a 67% refund, $300.
3 games played: No refund
Once a game starts it is considered to be a game played.
**Teams also have the option of keeping their refund as a credit for a future
tournament. If a team chooses that, they would get the amount indicated above
PLUS 10% of the entry fee as a credit. Credit is only good for tournament run by
Select-Sports USSSA.
Entry Deadlines and Entry Guarantees?
A team may call or email to be penciled in on the list for the event, however, entry
is not guaranteed. An entry is only guaranteed when payment is received in full.
This payment must be received prior to the posted deadline date and is subject to
space availability at the time of receipt. Some events will sell out prior to the
posted deadline.
On-line Entry?
A team may enter on-line at www.usssa.com. There are two types of on-line entry,
paid and non-paid. A non-paid on-line entry does not guarantee entry into the
tournament, it is simply penciling you into the list. A non-paid on-line entry, please
refer to "Entry Deadlines and Entry Guarantees" for details. All entries are subject
to space availability at the time of receipt.
Checks
We gladly accept checks. However there is a $50 bounced check fee
